Lizard Hotel

The Lizard Hotel project is a 30-story, 340 feet tall boutique hotel tower anticipated to be built within the historic core region of Downtown Los Angeles on Spring Street. The tower is nestled on very narrow 60-foot wide site, between two existing mid-rise historic building with protected murals painted on the currently exposed neighboring buildings. There is one level of below grade construction for back-of house spaces. Parking is provided within the lower seven levels of the tower via automated and valet operated parking systems with a car elevator lift to preclude having to provide access ramps.
The tower strucural system is a two-way concrete post-tensioned slab on concrete columns and a mat foundation. A central concrete corewall system is the seismic resisting system with a performance based design approach. For maximum floor space, sloping columns are anticipated to accommodate the variable floor plate.
