NYA provided the structural engineering for the adaptation of the Historic 13-story United Artist Theater building in downtown Los Angeles into a boutique, trendy hotel -- the newest addition to the Ace Hotel brand. The renovations included a new mezzanine on the ground floor for the restaurant and lounge, as well as a new roof top bar and pool area. Much of the historic character of the building was painstakingly restored to be the backdrop to the new modern amenities and services. The hotel officially opened in early 2014.
